VizEat connects travellers with local hosts around authentic culinary experiences – dinners, cooking classes, food tours, rooftop parties – at their home. It is a unique way to exchange with people from all around the world and to discover new cultures around food.

Founded in 2014 in France by a former venture capitalist and a business school graduate, VizEat has grown very quickly. Today, VizEat has 120,000 members in 110 countries and its website/apps are now available in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.

We are currently looking for a talented Country Developer Germany to develop VizEat’s business in Germany.

You will be based in Berlin, liaising with the central team headquartered in Paris, and focus on business development in order to grow inbound and outbound user acquisition and bookings.

You have always been an entrepreneur deep inside. You are self-motivated and able to work effectively and proactively in an autonomous environment.

Your interpersonal communication skills in German are awesome, both speaking and writing.

This position requires a strong business acumen, creative thinking and execution.

Your Missions

. Create and execute our inbound and outbound business growth strategy in Germany.

. Source and setup large B-to-C and B-to-B partnerships in the travel and tourism sector

– travel agencies, tour operators, OTA, reservation platforms

– airlines, railways

– hotel groups

– MICE

– langage schools

. Have a hands-on and growth hacking approach

. Contribute to the sourcing of new hosts and organizing meet-up events for new potential hosts in DE

. Manage a PR agency to build our brand awareness and traction

. Report and be accountable for the country’s progress and P&L

. Participation in the building of online campaigns to develop our hosts and guests’ community in Germany (affiliation platforms, display campaigns, SEM, bloggers, etc.)

You will report to VizEat’s CEO (Jean-Michel Petit) and CMO (Pierrine Griffiths). You will liaise daily with the central team in Paris, who will support you to the success of the operations in Germany (Marketing and Community teams).

Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for a dynamique and autonomous individual with 3-5 years of experience in business development in the travel and tourism sectors who answers to the following requirements:

.  A serious entrepreneurial drive

. Native German speaker with a full understanding of the local culture and bilingual in English

. Great communication skills: you are comfortable pitching the company, negotiating and getting partners on-board in face-to-face conversations, on the phone and via email

. Strong business development skills and sales drive

. Established experience and contact network in the travel and tourism sectors in Germany

. Strong organisational and analytical skills

. Hard working and open-minded, excited about the perspective of making it a success

. Curiosity, creativity and growth hacking spirit
